Never before has a more efficient use of electricity and gas paid off. Not least because of rising energy prices, more and more companies are seizing the opportunity to reduce their energy consumption.

Especially in production processes, there is great potential for reducing operating costs. However, this requires more innovative power than eliminating compressed air leaks or replacing lighting.

In order to bring innovations from the university to industry, we regularly invite people to energy efficiency events that promote dialogue between theory and practice.

In order to enable a reduction in energy consumption and active cost savings in production, in addition to new technological approaches, further training measures are also needed. The upp has set itself the task of training both students and specialist personnel from manufacturing companies on the subject of energy efficiency, thus providing them with a comprehensive, up-to-date overview of the potential in the areas of waste heat recovery, compressed air, energy monitoring, refrigeration technology, plastics, CHP and production in air-conditioned rooms. All subject areas will be supplemented by illustrative practical examples.
